These have all sorts of effects on them and some are terrible. Thanks!Ah right so you are going through the presets. I will also keep an eye on the buffer too. I do notice that some kits have effects on certain drums that give it the bitcrush effect. I turned it off and the static went away.

I think it is currently at 256, should I go lower? I did dig more into the Ayotte kit and found there was a "bitcrusher" effect set for the Ambience channel. I should mention the static only lasts for the duration of the sample, no static after that. Oh, and the issue doesn't happen when I'm not using the preset mixing kits, so is it a mixer issue? I am running SD3 as standalone for now on a 2015 Macbook i7/16gb with Scarlett interface(although the static is there for standard headphones out from laptop too). I figured I would try here as well because so many folks on here use SD3. I was on with Sweetwater tech support for about an hour and they couldn't pinpoint the issue, so they are contacting Toontrack. It's seems to happen only to certain drum samples I tried looking online and on this forum but didn't see anything specific(if there is a topic already, sorry! Let me know where to go). It seems to only be an issue when I use the presets(Tight/Dry, etc), static with certain drums and specifically the "Broken Ayotte" kit sound like they have some sort of static/distortion on the sample.

Sidestick on the snare, Rimshots etc.), using a wide range of microphones placed in different locations (close range to record a particular drum, or a condenser microphone placed at the back of the live room to capture the ambient, room sound of the kit), all finally worked into the software to allow users to manipulate the sound of their drum kit to the finest detail. Samples of a variety of drum parts (for example, snare, toms, bass drum, cymbals, cowbell etc.) were recorded using various techniques (e.g. Superior Drummer 2.0, “The New York Studio Legacy Series”, was recorded by Pat Thrall, Neil Dorfsman and Nir Z at The Hit Factory, Avatar Studios and Allaire studios, New York City. The software comes with multiple built in fx such as a 5 band EQ, High-pass and Low-pass filter, compressor, gate and a transient design filter. The software has been re-developed for optimised use with electronic drum kits with more effective use of sample layers and much improved loading times.

Superior Drummer 2.0 is a sample based drum software synthesizer developed by Toontrack, similar to previous software such as Drumkit from Hell, but with a complete overhaul of the original Drumkit from Hell Superior engine.
